This 88ct Crystal Multicolored Gem Opal is Opal skin to skin.  It has every color in bright flashes.  There are some small inclusions in the surface, but not very noticeable, and hidden by the fire in the stone.  This stone was cut from a very large piece of rough that had been acquired by a jeweler and opal cutter/collector from Carmel, Ca.  He gave it to his son upon his passing, who sold it to me.  It came out very beautifully, and due to its age, you do not find much opal as large and bright as this much anymore.  A great collectors piece, or beautiful for a massive, eye-catching, pendant.
